Job description

• The TPM – Target Costing is responsible for target costing and cost competitiveness of eDrive products throughout the product development lifecycle. The position drives cross-functional cost optimization activities and ensures that product cost targets are defined, monitored and achieved in alignment with project targets.

Responsibilities

• Lead target costing activities for eDrive projects and ensure alignment with project targets.
• Establish and maintain product cost targets, cost structures and cost controlling.
• Lead cost optimization idea generation, feasibility assessment and business case calculation.
• Identify cost gaps and drive cross-functional measures to achieve target cost.
• Coordinate engineering, purchasing, manufacturing, finance and project teams for cost optimization activities.
• Monitor and control cost improvement measures, project cost status and deviations.
• Manage cost-related risks, issues and change requests.
• Prepare and lead cost reviews and management reporting.
• Support product development projects from concept phase through ramp-up and SOP.
• Drive best practices and synergies for target costing across eDrive projects and platforms.

Requirements

• Bachelor or Master's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Finance or related fields.
• 3–5+ years of experience in automotive project management, target costing, cost engineering or controlling.
• Good knowledge of product cost calculation, target costing and cost optimization.
• Automotive/eDrive product development experience is a plus.
• Strong project management, analytical and influencing skills.
• Fluent in English with good intercultural communication skills.
• PMP certification is preferred; NPDP is a plus.
