• The Marketing Communication Specialist will support our company in executing and monitoring communications strategies across various departments, working with the groups to provide a unified and consistent message across all of the FHLBNY’s growing communication channels (digital, web, print, email, 1Link, etc.) and to provide an enhanced member experience.
• Responsible for creating, aligning, and coordinating member-facing content with the FHLBNY’s brand and voice to provide a consistent member experience for marketing and other departments, supporting all communications efforts, including campaigns, email and website, product launches, outreach, strategic efforts, and other materials and ensuring members are not inundated with a variety of messages at all different times.

Responsibilities

• Content Development & Execution
• Write a variety content to support communications, marketing efforts and an enhanced member experience for the FHLBNY, including email and website copy, product launches, strategic efforts and other marketing materials.
• Create, align, and coordinate content for marketing, sales, and all Bank member-facing departments to provide a consistent brand voice and member experience.
• Break down technical, program, IT/Systems Launches, and relevant financial information into digestible and easy-to-understand communications or slides.
• Stage approved email communications within Eloqua as needed and ensure accuracy, consistency, and alignment with approved messaging across all communication channels (digital, web, print, email, 1Link, etc.).
• Work with Sales team to create timely content for our Financial Library and our Engage email library.
• Support member feedback, forms and survey initiatives, including content review, formatting, and interactive enhancements to improve usability and member experience.
• Communication Planning & Coordination
• Act as a communication liaison between marketing, sales, and other member-facing departments by gathering information, managing stakeholder input, coordinating approvals, and supporting communication planning efforts.
• Manage coordination and quality assurance and launch readiness of marketing campaigns and communications in a timely and error-free manner.
• Maintain audience data and segments, distribution lists, communication approvals, and campaign documentation.
• Ensure that all communications align with policies, procedures, and regulations to maintain transparency and mitigate risks.
• Maintain our bankwide communication calendar and support the 360-degree view of member communications through the CRM system.
• Execute and monitor communications strategies across departments while maintaining communication timelines and promoting a positive member experience.
• Communication Strategy & Insights
• Monitor communication and campaign analytics and develop reports to measure effectiveness and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Identify gaps in content and recommend new topics, communication opportunities, and engagement strategies.
• Utilize marketing automation, CRM, and related marketing technologies to support communication planning, audience management, campaign execution, and member engagement goals.

Requirements

• Exceptional writing and interpersonal communication skills in order to coordinate content effectively across departments at the Bank. Grammar pro and attention to detail are a must, as we are communicating with C-Level Executives.
• Strong ability to work across departments, managing input from multiple teams while ensuring a consistent and unified messaging approach.
• Superior time management, organizational skills, and ability to meet quick deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of Banking, Financial Services, Operations, and related areas of focus.
• Understanding of member experience, accessibility standards, and digital communication best practices.
• Ability to collect, research, organize, and synthesize information from multiple sources and use communication and engagement metrics to inform future content and outreach strategies.
• Experience with marketing automation platforms, customer relationship management (CRM) systems, and survey tools. Experience with Oracle Eloqua and Oracle CX Sales is preferred.
• Experience coordinating communication approvals, managing content calendars, and supporting cross-functional projects.
• Experience with project management tools (Monday.com, Jira) is a plus.
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat and capable of managing review and editing processes within the application.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• 4+ years’ experience in a communications or marketing role with a focus on writing and managing content for various channels and proven knowledge of communications and marketing ethics and best practices for B2B Marketing. Experience doing research using multiple sources. Knowledge of User Experience, Banking, and Finance is a plus.
• Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Communications, Business or a related field. Experience in financial services, digital communications, member engagement, or content strategy is a plus
