Responsibilities
- The Principal of TRI-BUILT Brand and Product Marketing owns the strategy and marketing performance of QXO's TRI-BUILT private-label portfolio. This individual contributor will strengthen the brand, accelerate product adoption, and lead integrated programs that support revenue, margin, penetration, and customer loyalty.
- The role connects Marketing with Sales, Category Management, Supply Chain, Digital, Finance, Legal, Operations, manufacturers, and agency partners. The Principal will lead an expanding pipeline of product launches as TopBuild, Kodiak, and other products transition to TRI-BUILT branding.
- The preferred location for this role is: Herndon, VA; Coppell, TX; and/or Atlanta, GA
- Own and evolve the TRI-BUILT brand strategy, positioning, messaging, visual identity, and customer value proposition across categories and channels.
- Develop annual marketing priorities, growth plans, budgets, and investment recommendations aligned with QXO revenue and margin objectives.
- Build relationships with division, region, branch, and sales leaders and use field insight to shape practical programs that drive adoption.
- Develop strategies that increase awareness, trial, repeat purchase, and share of wallet among priority customer segments.
- Lead go-to-market strategy for new products, category expansions, product transitions, and discontinuations.
- Manage the launch roadmap for products transitioning to TRI-BUILT branding, including sequencing, dependencies, readiness, and field communications
- Partner with Category Management and manufacturers to define target audiences, competitive positioning, key benefits, proof points, and launch requirements.
- Oversee packaging, product data, images, installation guides, comparison tools, sell sheets, catalogs, and other product assets for accuracy and brand consistency.
- Ensure QXO.com product listings and digital content are complete and ready for launch, resolving visibility and catalog issues with Digital and IT.
- Develop integrated campaigns and promotions that connect customer opportunities, product priorities, field execution, and measurable financial outcomes.
- Own signature TRI-BUILT programs and partnerships, including Top Dogs, and guide participation in trade shows, branch activations, customer events, and branded merchandise.
- Partner with Hispanic Marketing and channel leaders on culturally relevant, in-language campaigns, training, and digital experiences.
- Equip sales and branch teams with practical tools, product resources, presentations, and training, supported by a consistent communication rhythm.
- Establish and report measures for TRI-BUILT sales, gross margin, penetration, customer adoption, campaign performance, and return on investment.
- Analyze performance by division, region, branch, customer segment, and category to identify growth opportunities and recommend action.
- Manage the TRI-BUILT marketing budget, forecasts, expenses, accruals, invoice approvals, and vendor-funded opportunities with Finance.
- Lead through influence across internal teams, manufacturers, vendors, and agencies by setting clear priorities, owners, timelines, and quality expectations.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, communications, or a related field; an MBA or advanced degree is a plus.
- Seven or more years of progressive experience in brand management, product marketing, portfolio marketing, channel marketing, or a related discipline.
- Demonstrated success developing marketing strategies tied to revenue, margin, product adoption, customer retention, or market-share outcomes.
- Experience leading product launches and integrated B2B campaigns across digital, field, sales enablement, events, and communications channels.
- Strong financial and analytical skills, including budget ownership, business-case development, forecasting, KPI design, and ROI analysis.
- Excellent executive communication and influence skills, with the judgment to simplify complex issues and align senior stakeholders.
- Credibility with field sales and operations teams and the ability to turn strategy into practical programs without formal authority.
- Experience in building products, distribution, construction, manufacturing, private label, or another technical product environment is strongly preferred.
