• Skilled Trades Partners is seeking a motivated Construction Operations Intern for a paid internship opportunity with an established fire protection contractor in Lexington, KY.
• This is a great opportunity for a college student studying Civil Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Business Operations, Construction Management, or a related field who wants hands-on exposure to how a specialty construction company operates.
• This won't be an internship where you're sitting behind a desk all day. You'll spend time supporting office operations while also getting exposure to active field operations and working directly with experienced tradespeople.

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day construction and business operations
• Assist office and operations teams with ongoing projects
• Work with field personnel and skilled tradespeople
• Gain exposure to the coordination between office and field operations
• Assist with project documentation, organization, and administrative tasks
• Help track information and follow up on operational needs
• Participate in occasional field visits and gain firsthand exposure to active construction projects
• Assist with additional projects based on current business and operational needs

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in college or a related educational program
• Pursuing Civil Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Business Operations, Construction Management, or a related degree
• Interested in construction, engineering, operations, or skilled trades
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Comfortable interacting with both office staff and field tradespeople
• Dependable and willing to take initiative
• Comfortable learning new systems and processes
• Ability to work approximately 20–30 hours per week
