Job description

• Serve as the Materiel Fielding and Transportation Coordinator responsible for synchronizing transportation planning, shipment execution, and materiel fielding operations. This position coordinates transportation requirements, monitors shipment activities, and ensures equipment is delivered, received, and fielded in accordance with schedule and Army transportation policies. This is an onsite position in Frederick, MD.

Responsibilities

• The essential and specific functions include but are not limited to the following:
• Coordinate transportation requirements supporting materiel fielding operations.
• Develop and maintain shipment schedules aligned with fielding timelines and milestones.
• Coordinate with transportation providers, government transportation offices, and fielding teams.
• Monitor shipment status and resolve transportation issues impacting mission execution.
• Validate shipping documentation, bills of lading, manifests, and movement requests.
• Track equipment movement from source through final delivery and fielding.
• Support loading, staging, receipt, inventory, and accountability activities during fielding events.
• Identify and document transportation discrepancies and coordinate corrective actions.
• Develop transportation status reports, metrics, and leadership briefings.
• Ensure compliance with Army transportation regulations, safety requirements, and contract objectives.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Transportation Management, Supply Chain Management, or related field; equivalent experience may be substituted.
• Minimum 5 years of logistics, transportation, or materiel fielding experience.
• Experience coordinating military transportation and distribution activities.
• Knowledge of Army transportation procedures, shipment documentation, and accountability requirements.
• Familiarity with logistics information systems and transportation tracking tools.
• Strong analytical and scheduling capabilities.
• Ability to coordinate effectively with multiple organizations and stakeholders.
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to support onsite fielding and transportation operations.
• Ability to lift and move materials up to 25 pounds.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen and able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
• Ability to travel CONUS and OCONUS as required.
