Job description
- Supports growth of SGS OGC laboratory services through customer development, quotations, pricing, lead management, and coordination with laboratory teams. Serves as a commercial link between customers, sales, marketing, and operations to support timely responses, accurate CRM tracking, and effective placement and execution of testing opportunities.
Responsibilities
- Develops and grows submitted testing sales for SGS OGC laboratories, including new, existing, and reactivated customers.
- Prepares quotations, issues pricing, and applies established rate agreements, customer-specific pricing, and commercial terms in coordination with laboratory and sales management.
- Develops sales skills, in addition to technical service knowledge, in order to sell multiple product lines and to be able to develop cross-selling opportunities across business lines as they present themselves.
- Maintains sales information systems and expense reporting systems via communications of weekly highlights, contact reports, expense reports, etc. in a timely and accurate manner.
- Serves as a commercial point of contact for assigned customers, coordinating with laboratory teams to ensure customer requirements, timelines, pricing, and service expectations are understood and met.
- Participates in entertainment activities with existing and new customers to develop and enhance our business relationships
- Communicates customer requirements/opportunities to SGS sales and technical management, and other functional resources as appropriate.
- Continually involved in facilitating operational excellence by communicating customer needs to internal counterparts to ensure timely and accurate solutions to increase customer satisfaction.
- Increases industry awareness and knowledge by attending appropriate industry conferences and company meetings.
- Manages incoming SGS OGC web leads, ensuring opportunities are promptly reviewed, assigned to the appropriate laboratory or sales representative, and followed through to resolution.
- Works closely with the Marketing Coordinator to monitor incoming web inquiries and ensure timely response and appropriate placement across the OGC laboratory network.
- Ensures web leads, quotations, customer interactions, opportunities, and sales outcomes are accurately and consistently updated in the CRM, including follow-up with other responding sales representatives as needed.
- Develops new business through customer outreach, referrals, internal SGS opportunities, dormant-account reactivation, and identification of cross-selling opportunities across laboratories and service lines.

Requirements
- College Degree, preferably in technical discipline or transferrable experience; with a minimum of 2 years' experience (industry or direct sales). Required
- A track record of repeated success in selling high value consultancy led solutions in a target led environment.
- Personal impact and exceptional communication skills.
- Highly developed influencing and stakeholder management skills.
- Professional credibility, probably through an understanding of the food manufacturing and/or analytical service industry
- Commercial acumen and advanced negotiation skills.
- Must have unquestionable business and personal integrity ethical standards.
- High levels of resourcefulness, influence/organizational savvy, execution skills (strategy through implementation) as well as executive presence/impact are critical to the success of this individual.

- Demonstrate strong computer skills in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and Power Point.
