- Position Overview: The Customer Service Representative is an essential, customer‑facing role responsible for assisting customers and potential customers with their everyday banking needs. This includes processing financial transactions, opening new accounts, answering questions, and providing guidance on bank products and services. The position requires strong customer service skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work with confidential information in a professional manner.
Responsibilities
- Process customer transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, payments, transfers, ACH, and wire requests.
- Open new accounts, perform account maintenance, and maintain accurate customer records.
- Provide exceptional customer service by assisting with inquiries, problem resolution, and online banking support.
- Balance cash transactions, research discrepancies, and ensure accuracy in daily operations.
- Promote bank products and services, maintain compliance, and support branch operations as needed.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Cash-handling, banking, or customer service experience preferred.
- Strong customer service, communication, and relationship-building skills.
- Basic accounting knowledge and proficiency with computer applications.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality, manage multiple tasks, and work accurately in a fast-paced environment.
