• Summary: The Loan Operations Insurance Specialist is responsible for administering, monitoring, and ensuring compliance with all hazard insurance-related requirements associated with the Bank's loan portfolio. This position serves as a critical control function within the Loan Operations Department by ensuring borrower insurance coverage meets regulatory requirements, investor guidelines, and Bank policies. The Loan Operations Insurance Specialist works closely with lenders, loan assistants, borrowers, insurance providers, and third-party vendors to mitigate risk, maintain collateral protection, and support regulatory compliance across commercial, consumer, residential mortgage, and agricultural lending portfolios.

Requirements

• Education and Position Requirements:
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in banking, loan operations, insurance administration, loan servicing, compliance, or a related field.
• Strong understanding of loan collateral and insurance requirements.
• Knowledge of federal banking regulations related to insurance and collateral protection.
• Ability to analyze insurance policies and determine compliance with lending requirements.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Professional judgement and discretion.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.
• Satisfactory Credit Bureau Report
• Associate's degree or Bachelors degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Insurance, Risk Management, or related field preferred.
• Equivalent combination of education and banking experience may be considered.
• Experience with commercial and consumer loan documentation preferred.
• Experience with loan servicing systems, document imaging systems, and insurance tracking platforms preferred.
