Logistics Supervisor at AISIN in Cibolo, TX

Job description

• The Logistics Supervisor is responsible for leading team leaders and supporting daily logistics operations to ensure the timely receipt of raw materials and components, accurate delivery of parts to production lines, and on-time shipment of finished goods to customers. This role supports achievement of departmental objectives related to safety, quality, productivity, cost, inventory control, and team member development while helping maintain standardized logistics processes and smooth plant operations.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily logistics operations to support safe, accurate, and efficient material flow, production support, and customer shipments.
• Supervise and support team leaders and team members while promoting a safe and productive work environment.
• Support achievement of departmental targets related to safety, quality, productivity, inventory, and indirect material cost.
• Plan and coordinate department activities, including receiving raw materials and components, delivering parts to production lines, shipping finished goods, and maintaining inventory at appropriate levels.
• Develop, implement, and reinforce standardized logistics processes, rules, and work practices.
• Provide on-the-job training, coaching, and development to strengthen team member skills and performance.
• Teach and reinforce 4S+D, standard procedures, and basic logistics concepts within the department.
• Work closely with Production, Quality, and other departments to support smooth production and shipment flow.
• Support inventory control activities, including stock rotation and inventory accuracy.
• Communicate with suppliers and other external partners, including customers, as needed.

Requirements

• Working knowledge of logistics operations, inventory control, and material flow processes.
• Familiarity with lean concepts such as 4S+D, FIFO, Kanban, JIT, and problem-solving methods.
• Effective teamwork, verbal communication, and written communication skills.
• Ability to adapt to changing business needs and operational priorities.
• Experience with forklifts, tow tractors, trailers, hoists, or related equipment preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Ability to solve problems by going to the source and applying root cause analysis.
• Ability to demonstrate leadership, build team member engagement, and support department performance.
• Ability to communicate issues, updates, and concerns clearly and in a timely manner to leadership and other affected parties.
• Goal-oriented with the ability to support department KPIs and corrective actions needed to achieve targets.
• Minimum 1 year of leadership experience in a manufacturing environment, or equivalent demonstrated leadership readiness through AISIN progression.
• Must be in Good Standing.
