- As a Tax Associate with Falcon Tax & Consulting, you will work closely with our CPAs, Financial Planners, and clients to provide tailored, tax-efficient solutions. You will play a crucial role in gathering information, preparing tax returns, and supporting comprehensive tax planning strategies to help clients reduce their tax liability and maximize wealth accumulation.
Responsibilities
- Prepare individual and small business tax returns efficiently and accurately. Experience with Lacerte tax software is a plus but not necessary.
- Communicate regularly with clients, internal associates, and external professionals to assure all relevant information is addressed.
- Assist CPAs and the broader wealth management team with tax-related matters and ongoing tax research.
- Support day-to-day operations with organizational, administrative, and general office duties.
- Maintain continuing professional education ensuring compliance with, and monitoring changes to, federal and state tax laws.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related business field.
- 1 to 3 years of professional experience in tax preparation, public accounting, or financial services.
- Experience utilizing professional tax preparation software and client relationship management (CRM) systems, alongside familiarity with general office software (Microsoft Office Suite).
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate with clients and internal associates in a clear and concise manner.
- Strong analytical skills paired with exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, and a strict commitment to quality.
- Highly organized with the ability to prioritize work effectively to meet tight deadlines.
- Adaptable and flexible to change priorities as business needs dictate, with a team oriented mindset to support other associates.
