• GFT is seeking a Senior Project Manager, Municipal Roads to join our Transportation Practice in Ottawa ! This role follows a hybrid work model requiring regular attendance at our Ottawa office.

Responsibilities

• As a Senior Project Manager, Municipal Roads, you will function as a project manager or team lead on municipal roadway projects. You will also participate in and support pursuit and business development efforts, while nurturing and developing client relationships.
• In this capacity, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following:
• Prepare project management plans and manage scope, schedule, and budget.
• Maintain a close working relationship with all discipline leads, department heads, other project managers, project controls staff, and construction personnel.
• Maintain a high level of technical quality on the projects.
• Mentor project staff and participate in hiring processes.
• Provide effective and efficient management of day-to-day operations within the roads and highways team

Requirements

• A university degree in civil engineering or related degree.
• P.Eng. designation required.
• 10+ years of related project experience on municipal roadway projects
• Familiarity with roadway design software (AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation, Inroads, ORD)
• Technical excellence in civil & roadway design
• A thorough understanding of the requirements and complexities of the design and management of multi-disciplinary projects, such as utility coordination, construction staging, traffic management, public consultation, external agency approvals, communication and liaison, coordination of sub-consultants and design groups, schedule and budget control, quality control, construction administration and claims resolution.
• Experience in BRT, LRT including intermodal transit facilities an asset.
• Familiarity and experience with various delivery models and P3 projects is an asset.

• The salary range for this position is $108,000.00 to $160,000.00. Salary dependent upon experience and geographic location.
