- Senior Software Engineer (Front End / Integration), Hospitality Operations Technology
- We are seeking a skilled Software Engineer with a strong background in web UX/UI Developer to design and develop intuitive, user centered digital experiences across the Property Management System ecosystem. This role will support Four Seasons PMS Modernization by creating streamlined workflows and modern interfaces that improve hotel operations, employee productivity, and guest experiences.
- The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of developing, solving complex technical problems, and delivering enterprise-level solutions in a cloud-first, agile environment. The PMS UX/UI Developer will work closely with Product Owners, Business Analysts, Hotel Operations, Enterprise Architecture, Development teams, and third-party vendors to translate business requirements into scalable, accessible, and engaging digital solutions.
Responsibilities
- User Experience Research
- Improved understanding of hotel operational needs, user pain points, workflow gaps, and future state opportunities.
- Cross-Team Collaboration
- Engage with other functional teams (e.g., Salesforce, Oracle, SAP integration) to ensure successful integration between enterprise systems.
- Front End Development
- Scalable, maintainable, and responsive application interfaces that support PMS related workflows and integrations.
- Design Governance
- Standardized user experience patterns, reusable components, and design documentation across PMS applications.
- User Testing and Validation
- Higher adoption, stronger usability, and better alignment between delivered solutions and hotel user needs.
- Continuous Improvement
- Data driven enhancements that reduce friction, improve efficiency, and support platform adoption.
- Agile Methodology and Project Management
- Operate within an Agile Framework, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
- Manage project timelines, ensuring timely and high-quality deliverables.
- Full Stack Development
- Actively participate in the development of both front-end (TypeScript, React.ts) and back-end (.NET, C#) components, setting a high standard for code quality and maintainability.
- Implement RESTful APIs, microservices, and other web services, ensuring they meet performance and security standards.
- Quality Assurance and Testing
- Implement unit and integration tests to ensure high test coverage and application reliability.
- Optimize application performance, conducting thorough testing for speed, scalability, and resource utilization.
- Continuous Improvement and Innovation
- Continuously improve development processes and tools, driving innovation within the team.
- Refactor legacy code, and reduce technical debt.
- Security and Compliance
- Ensure that all applications adhere to security best practices, including secure coding practices, authentication and authorization mechanisms (OAuth, JWT), and data protection measures.
- Maintain compliance with industry standards and regulations, ensuring that all solutions are secure, compliant, and ready for production use.
- Infrastructure and DevOps Collaboration
- Work closely with DevOps to manage cloud infrastructure (Azure), including monitoring, scaling, and optimizing resources for performance and cost-efficiency.

Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in UX/UI design, front end development, or digital product design.
- Strong experience with Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch, Miro, or similar design platforms.
- Experience developing responsive web applications and mobile experiences.
- Experience with HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, TypeScript, React, REST APIs, and Git.
- Experience within hospitality technology, travel, retail, or guest experience industries is considered an asset.
- Bachelor's degree or Master's in User Experience Design, Human Computer Interaction, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Digital Design, or a related field.
- Certifications considered an asset: Certified UX Professional, Google UX Design.
- Strong UX/UI design and front-end development experience is required.
- Experience designing enterprise SaaS applications, cloud platforms, or digital operational systems.
- Hospitality technology experience is preferred.
- Technical Expertise
- Experience writing code using AI code writing tools.
- Strong understanding of microservices architecture and RESTful API design.
- Experience with cloud platforms (Azure) and DevOps practices (CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes).
- Excellent experience and knowledge of Figma, Adobe XD, Miro, Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Visio.
- Knowledge of Opera Cloud PMS or other hospitality platforms, Payments, and digital guest channels is preferred.
- Presentation Layer
- Expert skills developing in Typescript or Javascript (ES6+).
- Expert skills in modern in Runtime Javascript Services like node.js, deno, bun, workers or similar.
- Experience in React or similar front end framework.
- Expert skills in HTML5, CSS3, and responsive design principles.
- Strong experience with hooks, state management and component lifecycles.
- Experience building micro-apps and Micro-front ends with a DB layer.
- Service Layer
- Experience in.NET development (C#, ASP.NET Core).
- Experience building microservices with a DB layer using .NET.
- Experience integrating web service calls and/or RESTful APIs, GRPC, GraphQL.
- Experience with Websockets, Authentication, Token security and authorization mechanisms (e.g., OAuth, JWT).
- Project Management
- Strong skills in Agile methodologies, including sprint planning, task management, and risk mitigation.
- Security and Compliance
- Proficiency in implementing secure coding practices, authentication/authorization mechanisms, and ensuring compliance with industry standards.
- Strong knowledge of UX/UI design principles, design systems, responsive design, accessibility standards, and front end development practices.

- Strong analytical skills to identify, diagnose, and resolve complex technical issues across the stack.
- Ability to optimize performance and scalability of applications in a production environment.
