- The Terminal Operations Assistant supports daily passenger and vehicle operations at a ferry terminal. This position is designed for someone who enjoys working with people, can stay organized in a busy environment, and doesn't mind working both indoors and outdoors.
Responsibilities
- Greeting and checking in passengers
- Answering basic travel and schedule questions
- Assisting with vehicle staging before loading
- Communicating with vessel and terminal staff
- Answering phones
- Completing basic transactions and paperwork
- Helping passengers who need additional assistance
- Keeping terminal areas clean and organized
- Following safety and security procedures
- Helping coworkers during busy arrival and departure periods
Requirements
- Qualifications: Applicants should be friendly, dependable, comfortable communicating with the public, and able to remain calm when things get busy. No previous transportation or customer service experience is required.
