• Location: Westlake Village, CA. Primarily on-site in our Westlake Village office with the opportunity for one to two remote workdays when business needs allow.
• Note: Applicants must be licensed to practice law in California and have at least 3+ years of civil litigation experience. We are seeking an attorney who is looking to grow long term with our team. Candidates currently in Ventura County or Los Angeles County are strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage civil litigation matters from inception through resolution.
• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, legal memoranda, and settlement agreements.
• Conduct legal research and prepare persuasive legal arguments.
• Attend hearings, depositions, mediations, and court appearances.
• Prepare cases for trial and assist with trial strategy.
• Communicate directly with clients, opposing counsel, and experts.
• Collaborate closely with attorneys and paralegals on active case management.
• Handle negotiations and assist with transactional matters as needed.

Requirements

• Active California Bar license.
• 3+ years of civil litigation experience.
• Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
• Experience drafting motions, discovery, and other litigation documents.
• Experience handling hearings, depositions, and case preparation.
• Excellent communication and client relationship skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a collaborative environment.
• Prior law firm experience strongly preferred.
• Solo practice or broad commercial/civil litigation backgrounds are welcomed. Corporate in-house backgrounds are less preferred.
