Job description
- Pay: $70,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
- You will have an opportunity to develop a broad business and litigation practice without the extreme billable-hour expectations common at many firms. Responsibilities
- Represent business clients in civil litigation and a variety of day-to-day legal matters
- Advise clients on contracts, business formation, employment matters, and real estate issues
- Manage litigation matters from initial strategy through resolution, including hearings, negotiations, discovery, and trial preparation
- Draft and review agreements, pleadings, motions, correspondence, and other legal documents
- Build trusted relationships with existing clients while helping expand long-term business relationships
- Manage a varied caseload while providing responsive, practical, business-minded legal advice
- Collaborate with attorneys across multiple practice areas and benefit from substantial institutional knowledge and mentorship
- Gradually assume responsibility for an established book of business as part of the firm's long-term succession strategy
Requirements
- Admission to practice before the Pennsylvania Supreme Court required
- 4+ years of legal practice experience preferred, but not required
- Civil litigation, commercial litigation, business law, contracts, employment, or real estate experience strongly preferred
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple client matters while remaining responsive and organized
- Practical, service-oriented approach to advising clients
- Collaborative mindset and willingness to continue learning
- Portable business, business ownership exposure, or experience working closely with business owners is a plus
