Job description
- A well-established, multi-office law firm is seeking an experienced corporate attorney at the Counsel or junior partner level to join its growing corporate practice in the Mid-Atlantic region.
- This role is ideal for an attorney who can independently manage a wide range of corporate matters while serving as a trusted advisor to business clients. The position involves a mix of outside general counsel work, transactional matters, and ongoing client advisory responsibilities.
- Open to candidates in the Baltimore and Central Maryland Region.
Responsibilities
- Serve as outside counsel to privately held companies and business owners on day-to-day legal matters
- Manage corporate transactions from initial structuring through closing
- Draft and negotiate a variety of agreements, including commercial contracts and transaction documents
- Advise clients on corporate governance, entity structuring, and operational legal issues
- Collaborate with attorneys across practice groups to support client needs
- Maintain and develop client relationships, with opportunities to expand an existing practice
Requirements
- Approximately 7–12+ years of corporate legal experience
- Experience handling both transactional work and ongoing corporate advisory matters
- Ability to independently manage client matters and provide practical legal guidance
- Strong drafting, negotiation, and communication skills
- Demonstrated interest in client development and practice growth
