Responsibilities

• Independently manage a caseload of complex commercial litigation matters from inception through resolution
• Work closely with partners on litigation strategy and case development
• Conduct detailed legal research to support strategic decision-making
• Draft and prepare pleadings, motions, briefs, Orders to Show Cause, and other substantive litigation documents
• Take and defend depositions
• Represent clients in court proceedings, hearings, arbitrations, trials, and appeals
• Communicate directly with clients, courts, and opposing counsel
• Monitor legal developments and industry trends impacting clients and litigation strategy
• Contribute to the firm's thought leadership efforts through article writing and professional publications
• Support business development and practice growth initiatives

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
• Admission to the New Jersey Bar
• 4+ years of commercial litigation experience in a sophisticated legal environment
• Experience managing litigation matters and drafting substantive legal documents
• Strong legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills
• Ability to handle matters independently while collaborating with partners and colleagues
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and litigation/document management technology
• Admission to both New York and New Jersey Bars
• Experience with New York CPLR, New Jersey Rules of Court, and Federal Rules of Civil Procedure
• Familiarity with e-discovery platforms and electronic document management
• Experience with complex commercial disputes, arbitration, and appellate matters
