- A well-established engineering firm in Dallas is seeking an Electrical Engineer with 5+ years of experience in commercial and institutional building projects. This role offers long-term growth, leadership potential, and the opportunity to work closely with clients and design partners.
Responsibilities
- Design power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, and low-voltage systems for new and renovated buildings
- Perform load calculations, short circuit analysis, and voltage drop studies
- Prepare construction drawings and specifications using AutoCAD and Revit
- Collaborate with architects, clients, and multidisciplinary engineering teams
- Conduct site visits, review submittals, and provide construction phase support
- Mentor junior engineers and support quality control on project deliverables
Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering
- 5+ years of experience in MEP consulting
- Proficient in Revit, AutoCAD, and electrical calculation tools (e.g., SKM, ETAP)
- PE license in Texas preferred or in progress
- Strong knowledge of NEC, energy codes, and applicable industry standards
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work in a client-facing role
