Job description

• Compensation: $75,000 to $90,000 annually.
• Location: Scottsdale, AZ
• Workplace Setting: Fully Onsite.
• The FP&A Analyst will support the FP&A team by providing accurate financial analysis, preparing reports and assisting in budgeting and forecasting processes. This role is ideal for someone who is a self-starter, infinitely curious & analytical, enjoys working with data and is looking to build a career in finance.
• This individual will assist in developing and maintaining the systems needed to aggregate accounting & financial information into a standard set of financials and transform financial data into meaningful insights. Responsibilities

• Producing accurate financial reports, forecasts, and variance analysis that provide clear and actionable insights to help stakeholders make better business decisions
• Produce monthly Budget vs Actual reporting and analysis to support executive leadership and department budget owners to manage their financial performance.
• Creating data that is clean, well documented,and can be easily interpreted by multiple leaders within the organization
• Support FP&A Managers by providing accurate financial analysis, preparing reports, assisting with revenue recognition, ad-hoc projects, budgeting, and forecasting processes.
• Collect, clean and organize financial data from various sources to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Support the preparation of monthly financial reports and assist with drafting footnotes and key points for financial statements.
• Find and resolve potential issues or discrepancies within the data to ensure accuracy
• Perform accurate and timely entry of financial data into relevant systems, ensuring data integrity and consistency across financial reports and records.
• Identify and drive process improvements, including the creation of standard and Ad Hoc reports, tools and Excel or Google dashboards
• Use Power BI, SQL, Python, Claude, and other technical data tools to automate, clean, and amplify existing workstreams which are assigned and assist with others.
• Support in reconciliation between different data sources to align fields to support analytics

Requirements

• Proficient in Excel and Google Sheets for creating and managing reports.
• Familiar with project management tools (e.g., Asana) and G-Suite (Slides and Docs).
• Able to analyze financial data and statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flows).
• Skilled in spotting issues in financial reporting and suggesting improvements.
• Capable of assisting with departmental budgets and financial reports.
• Moderate level of business acumen to help translate business results into financial reporting/modeling.
• Understands the difference between revenue and profitability and how business changes affect them.
• Able to use technical tools/software language such as PowerBI, DAX, Claude, SQL, Python to automate and amplify workstreams
• Basic knowledge of cash versus accrual accounting and their impacts.
• Able to create useful reports and dashboards for stakeholders.
• Familiar with the month-end closing process and how accounting changes affect financial reports.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or related field, or equivalent work experience
• At least 1-3 years’ work experience in Finance and Accounting
