Job description

• Plans, supervises, monitors, and evaluates the day-to-day operations of multiple Thrift Stores for a location; plans, supervises, and monitors work of all Thrift Store personnel ensuring compliance with established policies and procedures as well as budget constraints; plans, supervises, and evaluates the layout and display of Thrift Store merchandise to generate maximum financial return; supervises processing of merchandise in the warehouse to ensure that items reach store floors in a timely manner; plans and supervises the rotation and re-arranging of stock; prepares and monitors sales, statistical and financial reports.

Responsibilities

• Supervises and monitors cashier activities to ensure the accountability of cash register monies; supervises the preparation of sales records, sales reports and bank deposits.
• Directs subordinate store managers in the layout and display of store merchandise; ensures stock is routinely rotated and prices encourage the desired level of stock turnover; plans, organizes, and supervises the preparation of displays for special promotions or seasons; ensures the stores are maintained in a neat, inviting, and orderly manner.
• Oversees the supervision and monitoring of the receiving, sorting, pricing, and distribution of donated items in the warehouse; ensures that items are processed in a timely manner and in compliance with established policies and procedures.
• Supervises the scheduling and routing of donation pick-ups; ensures the accountability of all donated items; ensures donations are collected in compliance with established policies and procedures.
• Supervises the operation and maintenance of all Thrift Store vehicles and equipment; ensures that routine maintenance and repairs are conducted in a timely and economical manner to ensure safety and long life.

Requirements

• Associate Degree in Business Management or related field AND
• Four years progressive supervisory experience in retail sales management OR
• Any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
• Valid Driver's License
• Forklift Certification
• Bailer Certification
