- As a Medical Assistant, you¿ll play a vital role in delivering quality and compassionate care to our patients. Working under the supervision of providers and nursing leadership, you¿ll perform administrative and clinical tasks to ensure a seamless patient experience. Your contributions will directly support providers during examinations and procedures, making a meaningful impact on patient care.
Responsibilities
- Greet and escort patients to exam rooms, ensuring a welcoming environment.
- Obtain and record accurate medical histories and vital signs.
- Prepare patients for examinations and procedures.
- Assist providers during clinical procedures and examinations.
- Perform administrative tasks to support the clinical team and patient care.
Requirements
- What You Will Need
- High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
- Graduate of a Medical Assistant program with completion of a formal clinical externship (160-hour minimum), or
- Graduate without externship but with one year of clinical medical assisting experience within the past five years, or
- Current professionally recognized Medical Assistant certification with one year of experience, or
- Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), or
- Licensed Paramedic/EMT with one year of clinical experience within the past five years, or
- Military-trained medical personnel with one year of clinical experience within the past five years.
- Current BLS-C upon hire or successful completion by end of orientation.
- Basic computer knowledge and keyboarding skills.
- EPIC (Electronic Medical Record) experience.
