Responsibilities

• Commercially hungry and capable to hunt new business at a healthy margin to grow the account
• Very comfortable maintaining relationships with the customer and all its stakeholders
• Coordination and handling of bid requests.
• Broad knowledge of operations to understand operational needs, sell innovative solutions and provide optimal customer service.
• Administratively strong and organized to keep up with timely and accurate administrative processes while maintaining an overview of multiple projects running parallel.

• Understand client’s problems and challenges, while looking for opportunities to design, offer, sell and implement competitive logistics and supply chain solutions related but not limited to: air freight, ocean freight, domestic trucking, customs brokerage, project management, rigging, and assembly.
• Infiltrate the client by building a close professional relationship with transportation and logistics decision makers/influencers.
• Assertive in identifying inefficiencies and proactively come with improvement suggestions.
• (Service)
• Follow up and manage all customers’ inquiries in a timely manner.
• Coordinate communication between local operation teams and the client to ensure all service expectations are being met. (Actively follows up local stations to make agreed time lines.)
• Define and help implement client specific SOP’s and ensure that they are being adhered to throughout the organization.
• In case of irregularities, work closely with origin or destination stations to identify and solve any root cause issues that may be leading to service failures.
• In case of loss and damage handle claim process with customer as well as internally with insurance.
• Makes sure overall performance is captured and reported on regular basis
• The position needs to collaborate globally and cross-functionally to ensure that customer requirements (Key Performance Indicators / Client & Strategic Objectives) and Internal MEC Performance Metrics (P&L, Operational Efficiency, Timely Billing, Continuous Improvement) are being met by operations in the defined areas of responsibility.
• (Pricing)
• Responsible for accurately and timely quoting.
• Receiving bid request from the client
• Retrieving internal input from the network within given time frame
• Consolidate input in Bid request format and submit to client in timely matter
• Coordinating rewarded business with operation
• Upon award of new business make sure all required information is available to administratively process (bill) the executed services.
• Monitor account receivables in the region to hit company target and ensure timely, accurate billing
• Responsible for ensuring that all client requested milestones and metrics are being met to exceed expectations.
• Timely, correct and complete invoicing. (Billing within 7 days of project completion.)
• Account receivables: Disputes are quickly settled and invoices are paid on time. (No invoices overdue)
• Claim settlement within clients dictated timeline of 20 days
