Job description

• As we continue to accelerate our digital commerce strategy, Cabot Hosiery Mills is seeking a Sales Manager, Digital & Marketplace to oversee and grow our Pure Play Digital and Marketplace business. This position will lead account management and strategic development across a portfolio that includes Amazon Marketplace partners, and key digital retailers such as Zappos, GovX, Backcountry, and other emerging online channels. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of e-commerce, digital retail, marketplace ecosystems, online merchandising, and digital consumer behavior. This person understands how to operate in a multi-channel sales environment and can manage around/through channel conflicts that may arise with the intent of making decisions that are best for the business and not only the channel. Experience working within the Amazon ecosystem is strongly preferred.
• Beyond managing day-to-day account performance, this role will develop and lead the company's long-term Digital and Marketplace strategy, helping shape how our brands are represented online while identifying profitable growth opportunities and protecting brand integrity. The role reports directly to the Director of Digital Commerce.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the company's Digital and Marketplace sales strategy.
• Manage all assigned Pure Play Digital accounts and Marketplace partners.
• Lead strategic planning for Amazon Marketplace and FBA partner relationships.
• Develop recommendations that support the company's three-year Digital Commerce growth strategy.
• Analyze digital sales performance, traffic trends, conversion metrics, inventory levels, and profitability.
• Partner with Marketplace operators and digital retailers to drive revenue growth while maintaining premium brand positioning.
• Identify opportunities for assortment optimization, enhanced content, promotional effectiveness, and improved consumer experiences.
• Collaborate with Marketing and E-Commerce teams to ensure consistent digital brand presentation across all online channels.
• Collaborate with Brand Protection team to monitor marketplace compliance, pricing integrity, unauthorized sellers, and channel conflicts.
• Build annual revenue forecasts, account plans, and growth initiatives for all assigned digital partners.
• Deliver regular reporting on sales trends, marketplace performance, advertising effectiveness, inventory health, and profitability metrics.
• Identify emerging digital retail platforms and evaluate potential strategic partnerships.
• Monitor evolving consumer purchasing trends and competitive activity within the digital landscape.
• Coordinate cross-functional execution with Operations, Marketing, Product, Customer Service, and Finance teams.
• Serve as the internal subject matter expert for Amazon Marketplace and digital commerce best practices.
• Manage account agreements, promotional calendars, digital merchandising opportunities, and new product launches.
• Travel occasionally for key customer meetings and industry events as needed.

Requirements

• Education: BA or preferably MBA. Consideration will also be given to those having 7 to 10 years of field experience in customer and / or sales representative management.
• Proficient in Microsoft Applications including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Must have experience with Excel spreadsheets including VLOOKUP’s and Pivot Tables
• Strongly skilled in organization, problem-solving, customer service and multitasking
• Excellent communication, sales, and customer service skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and sense of urgency to meet targets
• Flexible nature to manage competing and changing priorities
• Travel between CHM facilities as needed
• Must be available to travel 50% of the time and work weekends
