• Mission of the Role
• The Warehouse Associate is responsible for completing daily warehouse functions that will satisfy customer requirements and expectations and for assisting the company’s Warehouse Manager in maintaining the day-to-day material processing both inbound and outbound.

Responsibilities

• Directly responsible for unloading trucks, loading trucks, receiving, quality checks, putting away materials, and order picking.
• Accurate data entry required for recording receipts into system and entering product locations after movement of product.
• Stack and unload pallets as needed for shipment or put away.
• Read customer orders, work orders (green orders), shipping orders, or requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed and/or shipped.
• Move materials and items from receiving or storage areas to shipping or other designated areas by forklift or other common material handling tools.
• Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, or product code.
• Ensure proper FIFO is adhered to.
• Fill requisitions, work orders, or requests for materials, tools, or other stock items and distribute items to shipping and/or designated truck.
• Assemble customer orders from stock and place orders on pallets or shelves.
• Relocate orders to a holding area or shipping department.
• Mark materials with identifying information using appropriate methods.
• Compare identifying information and count, weigh, or measure items of incoming and outgoing shipments to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other records.
• Record amounts of materials or items received or distributed via appropriate computer programs.
• Assist in counting physical inventory.
• Adhere to all warehouse GDP requirements.
• Perform daily and bi-weekly cleaning of warehouse areas in adherence to GDP requirements.
• Kitting when needed
• Create SOPs for the department and manage the SOPS through changes as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid forklift certification.
• Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly manner.
• Follow safety guidelines.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and comprehend English.
• Frequently and repeatedly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
• Frequently required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
• Occasionally required to sit and climb or balance.
• Previous warehouse experience preferred.
• Previous experience with UPS/FEDEX online preferred.
