Automotive Sales Associate - Internet Sales at Liberty Subaru in Emerson, NJ

Job description

• At many automotive retailers, Internet leads are handled by a Business Development Center. A representative communicates with the customer and schedules an appointment, but once the customer arrives, they are handed off to someone new and must start the process over again.
• Liberty Subaru takes a different approach.
• Our Internet Sales Associates work directly with their customers from the first phone call or email through the showroom visit, test drive, purchase, and vehicle delivery. You will answer questions, assess each customer’s needs, schedule appointments, demonstrate vehicles, discuss options, and help customers become familiar with their new Subaru.
• This start-to-finish approach allows our associates to build genuine relationships instead of simply setting appointments. Our goal is to meet each customer’s expectations, exceed them whenever possible, and continue providing exceptional service long after the sale.

Responsibilities

• Respond promptly and professionally to Internet leads by phone, email, and text.
• Maintain consistent daily communication and follow-up with prospective customers.
• Build rapport, assess each customer’s needs, and schedule qualified appointments.
• Work directly with your customers throughout the entire sales process, from initial contact through vehicle delivery.
• Welcome customers and create a comfortable, professional buying experience.
• Ask thoughtful questions, listen carefully, and help each customer select the vehicle that best fits their needs.
• Present and demonstrate new and pre-owned vehicles, including features, technology, and available options.
• Accurately document customer communication, appointments, and follow-up activity in the retailer’s CRM.
• Build lasting customer relationships that generate repeat and referral business.
• Develop strong Subaru product knowledge and stay current on inventory, programs, and vehicle technology.
• Work closely with sales managers and other departments to provide a smooth and efficient customer experience.
• Meet individual and team goals while maintaining Liberty Subaru’s standards for professionalism and customer care.

• Availability to work the established sales schedule, including Saturdays

• Valid driver’s license and an acceptable driving record
• Automotive sales experience is welcome but not required. We will train the right person.
