- Start your career with Pathology Services, powered by Interpath Labs, as a Lab Assistant in North Platte. This entry-level role is ideal for science-oriented individuals who are motivated, detail-driven, and eager to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced clinical laboratory environment while supporting essential diagnostic services.
Responsibilities
- Support Lab Operations
- Assist clinical lab and technical staff with pre-analytical laboratory processes
- Support daily laboratory workflows to ensure timely and accurate testing
- Phlebotomy & Specimen Handling
- Perform phlebotomy procedures
- Receive, label, and properly handle specimens
- Prepare and manage laboratory send-out specimens
- Administrative & Computer Tasks
- Perform order entry and clerical/computer-based duties
- Maintain accurate documentation to support laboratory operations
- Quality & Accuracy
- Follow established laboratory procedures to ensure specimen integrity and accurate results
- Maintain attention to detail in all aspects of work
- Adapt and Grow
- Learn new laboratory processes and systems
- Take on additional responsibilities as skills and knowledge develop
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Laboratory, phlebotomy, or healthcare experience preferred but not required
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Highly dependable with consistent and reliable attendance
- Motivated, quick learner with interest in clinical laboratory work
