Job description
- Koch Ag & Energy Solutions is seeking a Software Engineer to design, build, and operate high‑quality software solutions that deliver business value. In this role, you will work as part of a collaborative engineering team responsible for developing scalable, reliable, and maintainable systems using modern development practices.
- You will contribute to the full software development lifecycle—from design and implementation to testing, deployment, and ongoing support—while partnering closely with product, architecture, and business stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to software development efforts across the full project lifecycle.
- Partner with the Tower Technical Lead and BSAs to prioritize backlog items from a technical perspective.
- Support and maintain existing applications by troubleshooting and resolving production issues
- Design APIs, services, and data integrations that are scalable, secure, and performant
- Identify transformation opportunities that leverage AI, automation, and cloud-native platforms to deliver business value
- Continuously learn and apply new technologies, patterns, and practices
Requirements
- · Demonstrated professional experience in software engineering, software development, or a related technical field
- Experience with Python programming language
- Legally Authorized to work in the United States
- Experience developing, deploying, and supporting applications using AWS serverless services (e.g., AWS Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB)
- Strong communication, collaboration, and problem‑solving skills.
- This role is not eligible for VISA Sponsorship.
- Experience in Market Data, Commodity/Financial Trading, or related industries.
- Experience developing generative AI or agentic services using the AWS AgentCore runtime.
- Experience with Git, GitHub, CI/CD pipelines, and other modern development tools.
- Experience using generative AI tools such as Copilot or Claude Code in software development and solution delivery.
