• Brady, Chapman, Holland & Associates, Inc. (BCH) is growing, and we’re looking for an experienced Employee Benefits Account Manager, to join our team and support mid-size to large organizations.

• This is a relationship-driven service role where you’ll work closely with clients, Employee Benefits Advisors, insurance carriers, and internal team members to keep things moving and make sure client needs are handled professionally and efficiently. You’ll play an important role in resolving questions and issues, supporting renewals and open enrollment, and helping our Benefits team find better ways to work. You’ll have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact while being part of a collaborative, high-performing team at a respected Texas-based independent insurance brokerage.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, carrier partners, and internal team members.
• Serve as a trusted resource for clients by responding to Employee Benefits questions, claims, billing issues, and other service needs in a timely and professional manner.
• Coordinate claim resolutions and help clients navigate issues through successful resolution.
• Assist with escalated eligibility issues and work with carriers and clients to resolve discrepancies.
• Support the pre-renewal process, including census gathering and preparation of marketing materials.
• Assist Employee Benefits Advisors with renewals, 5500 preparation, open enrollment, and other client needs.
• Audit invoices for rate and eligibility accuracy and resolve discrepancies promptly.
• Maintain communication with carrier service contacts and document ongoing service issues.
• Process group contracts, address changes, and other updates received from Account Managers and clients.
• Stay current on carrier products, services, industry trends, and legislative updates that may impact clients.
• Collaborate with the Benefits team to identify and implement improved workflows and opportunities to automate service tasks.
• Maintain accurate client documentation and BCH systems in accordance with company policies and procedures.
• Manage ImageRight tasks and other systems according to BCH procedures.
• Support special projects and other department initiatives as needed.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of Employee Benefits experience, including group medical, dental, life, and ancillary products.
• Mid-size to large Employee Benefits account management experience strongly preferred.
• Strong understanding of Employee Benefits products, insurance policies, and industry best practices.
• Ability to understand and manage complex insurance placements.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build strong relationships with both clients and colleagues.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to research issues and find effective solutions.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Comfortable working independently while also thriving in a collaborative team environment.
• Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office and the ability to quickly learn new systems and applications.
• General Lines, Life, Accident & Health & HMO license required.
• Insurance designations a plus.
