- We are currently seeking a LPN, EMT OR Certified Medical Assistant as an Allergy Technician for a full-time position at our ... office. Our practice provides comprehensive general and subspecialty ENT medical and surgical care within the convenience of one medical group. Patient care is our top concern, and because we can provide both diagnosis and rehabilitative services, our patients know they can depend on our team for all their needs.
- This is an excellent opportunity for an LPN, EMT or Certified Medical Assistant as an Allergy Technician who is multitask oriented, motivated, able to handle a high volume of patients, be a self-starter and willing to learn all aspects of Allergy, ENT and Audiology field.
Responsibilities
- Interacting with patients for 20-60 minutes
- Following allergy protocols
- Educating patients on allergy testing and treatments
- Answering patient calls
- Taking patient histories
- Giving injections
- Performing allergy skin tests
- Obtaining authorizations
- Preparing exam rooms
- Sterilization techniques in accordance with CDC, ENTAAF and if applicable Autoclave manufacturer requirements
Requirements
- Licensure/ Certification: Active LPN, RN or Certified Medical Assistant
- Minimum two-years hands-on clinical experience
- Willing to travel between locations as needed
- Working knowledge of medical terminology
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with a clear speaking voice
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Exhibit professionalism towards patients physicians and team members
- Computer literate for EMR
- Bilingual Spanish speaking is a plus
- Allergy experience is a plus
