Plant Operations Manager (Poultry) at Foster Farms in Porterville, CA

Job description

• $150,000 - $190,000 per year DOE, 22% target bonus
• Foster Farms is seeking an experienced Plant Operations Manager to lead operations at our Porterville facility. This role provides overall leadership to approximately 350 team members across production, distribution, warehousing, sanitation, maintenance, safety, and plant performance. The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of progressive management experience specifically within the poultry industry, to include ready to eat (RTE) experience.
• The position will include frequent contact with Live Production, Product Management, Technical Services, Human Resources, Accounting, Commodities, Legal, USDA, industry associations, local government agencies, and selected customers.

• Provide direction to ensure that comprehensive team member safety programs are aligned with the Company’s goals and values.
• Assist in product development, quality assurance, engineering systems, and equipment to provide future profitability and growth as required by the Manufacturing Division.
• Develop new products and processes in conjunction with Marketing and USDA compliance with SSOP and HACCP programs.

Requirements

• 10+ years of progressive management experience within the poultry industry, ready to eat (RTE) required.
• Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related field, preferred.
• Demonstrated financial understanding to include budgeting, staffing, and cost analysis.
• Demonstrated leadership skills and drive.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
