Job description

• As part of the larger ICAT team works under indirect supervision, participates in planning, implementing, designing, analyzing, maintaining, and provides technical support for a large, complex computer systems and data communications networks. The Network Analyst will be part of a group responsible for the installation, configuration, maintenance and administration of enterprise network infrastructure. The Network Analyst will participate with management and other team members on all projects as they relate to network infrastructure and is expected to provide input, ideas, recommendations in a team-oriented work environment.

Responsibilities

• Participates in planning, implementing, designing, analyzing, maintaining, and provides technical support for a large, complex computer systems and data communications networks.
• Responsible for installation, configuration, maintenance and administration of enterprise network infrastructure.
• Participates with management and other team members on all projects as they relate to network infrastructure.
• Expected to provide input, ideas, recommendations in a team-oriented work environment.

Requirements

• College diploma in Computer Networking, Information Technology etc., or other related field, or equivalent experience and industry certifications.
• ITIL certification is required or commitment to complete within six (6) months from the date of hire.
• Minimum of 2-3 years of overall IT experience with at least 1 year in a large enterprise network Infrastructure environment.
• Excellent verbal communication, writing and presentation skills required.
• Knowledge of enterprise network operations.
• Knowledge of Data Center and Campus Network Infrastructure.
• Knowledge of TCP/IP and common network protocols (LACP, OSPF, BGP etc.).
• knowledge of DHCP, IP Helper, SNMP etc. network management protocols.
• Knowledge of Cisco switch, wireless controller, router etc. LAN/WLAN/WAN Infrastructure equipment.
• Knowledge of network package capture and monitoring tools PRTG enterprise, Wireshark etc.
• Knowledge of enterprise firewall and VPN remote access technologies.
• Knowledge of Network Configuration Management (NCM) and Security Information and Event Management (SIEM).
• Knowledge of Cisco Unified Communications Manager, VoIP, SIPT, QoS, Video Conferencing etc.
• Knowledge of Data Center Operations, VMware, SAN/Blade Chassis, Load Balancer, Linux and Windows systems, VDI, Citrix etc.
• Solid hands-on experience with PC, Zero Client, Think Client, Laptop, Printer, IP phone etc. end device support.
• Experience with ServiceNow Incident and Change management.
• Experience with Microsoft Visio/Power Point/Word/Excel etc. for network diagram, presentation and technical support document.
• PIPEDA/PHIPA compliance experience as it relates to network best practices and security as well as managing and complying with PIPEDA/PHIPA network controls.
• Valid Ontario driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle.
• Flexibility to work after hours if required.
• Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
• Candidate must have strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate both verbally and written in a professional manner.
• Ability to create and maintain positive and professional business relationships with both internal associates and external customers.
• Proven organizational and time management skills.
• Demonstrated strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
