- For a BCBA coming from a clinical ABA setting, this role offers a unique transition into education without
- stepping away from the work you love. You’ll continue using your clinical expertise in functional
- assessment, behavior programming, data analysis, staff coaching, and intensive behavioral support -
- while your Special Education Teacher takes the lead on academic and skill-acquisition programming.

Responsibilities
- Conduct Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs) and develop individualized, evidence-based
- Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) aligned with student IEPs.
- Lead behavior programming, functional communication programming, and replacement-skill
- development.
- Analyze behavioral data and make ongoing, data-driven modifications to programming.
- Oversee treatment integrity and implementation of behavioral supports throughout the school
- day.
- Provide hands-on modeling, coaching, and feedback to Instructional Assistants and other school
- staff.
- Support crisis prevention and response using trauma-assumed, safety-focused practices.
- Collaborate with the Special Education Teacher while maintaining distinct areas of expertise: the
- teacher leads academics and skill acquisition while the BCBA leads behavioral assessment and
- programming.
- Participate in IEP development and interdisciplinary student planning.
- Maintain documentation required by BACB, state, and school standards.
Requirements
- Master’s degree and current BCBA certification.
- 2+ years of experience supporting children with autism, developmental disabilities, and/or
- significant behavioral needs (preferred)
- Clinical ABA experience is welcomed — school-based experience is not required.
- Strong skills in functional assessment, behavior intervention, data analysis, and staff coaching.
- Interest in learning or expanding knowledge of IEPs and school-based service delivery.
- Ability to collaborate closely with educators and related-service providers.
- Calm, ethical, flexible, and compassionate approach to student behavior and staff support.
- CPR certification or willingness to obtain.
