• The Lead Barista assists the Starbucks Manager with training and development of staff. Performs duties of all positions within the department. Resolves employee and guest-related problems. Uses proper cash handling and accounting procedures. Acts as a Store Manager when required. Must possess working knowledge of computer terminal and cash register operations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, including espressos, lattes, cappuccinos, and more
• Engage with customers, taking their orders, and providing recommendations based on their preferences
• Create latte art and ensure each drink is beautifully presented
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, including the coffee machines and equipment
• Follow health and safety guidelines to ensure the quality and freshness of our coffee products
• Upsell additional items such as pastries, snacks, or merchandise
• Handle cash transactions and operate the cash register accurately
• Provide friendly and efficient customer service, ensuring each guest feels welcomed and valued

Requirements

• Prior Starbucks supervisory/Lead trainer experience preferred
• Ability to communicate effectively with customers and other Team Members
• Experience with MICROS POS system or similar point-of-sale platforms a plus
• Excellent problem-solving skills & ability to multi-task
• Understanding of food safety and hygiene practices
• Ability to work flexible hours, including early AM shifts, weekends, and holidays
