Job description

• We’re looking for a highly experienced Product Marketing Director to serve as a senior strategic contributor within Archer’s Product Marketing organization. This is a high-impact individual contributor role for someone who can operate with significant autonomy, bring strong market judgment, and take ownership of some of Archer’s most important product marketing initiatives.
• You’ll work closely with the VP of Product Marketing to help translate Archer’s overall product marketing strategy into compelling market positioning, platform messaging, go-to-market programs, partner engagement, and sales execution. You’ll be expected to move comfortably between strategy and execution — helping shape the story for emerging market opportunities, connecting products into a clear platform narrative, building joint value propositions with strategic partners, preparing executives for analyst conversations, and helping Sales communicate Archer’s differentiation more effectively.
• This role is ideal for a senior product marketer who can make complex ideas simple, challenge conventional thinking, and help Archer communicate a clear and differentiated point of view in a rapidly changing GRC market.

Responsibilities

• Strategic Positioning & Messaging
• Partner closely with the VP of Product Marketing to develop and operationalize Archer’s positioning, messaging, and go-to-market strategy.
• Lead positioning and messaging for major products, solutions, market initiatives, and strategic launches.
• Translate Archer’s broader platform narrative into compelling product, solution, persona, and industry stories.
• Connect individual product capabilities into cohesive customer narratives that demonstrate the broader value of the Archer platform.
• Develop differentiated market points of view that help Archer shape customer conversations around GRC, AI, risk, compliance, and emerging market opportunities.
• Bring customer, competitive, partner, and market insights into messaging and strategic decision-making.
• Platform & Portfolio Storytelling
• Help evolve Archer’s platform story by connecting capabilities across the portfolio into a clear, differentiated value proposition.
• Ensure product-level messaging reinforces Archer’s broader platform positioning and strategic narrative.
• Identify opportunities to simplify complex product capabilities into messages that resonate with executives, practitioners, partners, and enterprise buying committees.
• Partner with Product Management and senior leaders to translate roadmap innovation into meaningful customer and market value.
• Go-to-Market Leadership
• Lead product marketing strategy and execution for major launches, strategic initiatives, and cross-portfolio programs.
• Build go-to-market plans that align Product, Sales, Demand Generation, Customer Success, Partnerships, and other stakeholders.
• Develop messaging frameworks, launch strategies, sales plays, campaign narratives, and market-facing programs that drive adoption and pipeline.
• Serve as a senior product marketing partner to Sales and Product leadership on high-priority opportunities and initiatives.
• Identify gaps in market understanding, sales readiness, or competitive differentiation and proactively develop programs to address them.
• Strategic Partnerships & Big 4
• Build and deepen relationships with key Big 4 consulting firms and other strategic advisory partners.
• Develop joint messaging, value propositions, solution narratives, and go-to-market programs with strategic partners.
• Work with Archer’s Alliances organization to ensure partners understand Archer’s platform differentiation and can effectively position Archer with their clients.
• Identify opportunities for joint thought leadership, customer engagement, events, and market development.
• Serve as a senior product marketing representative in strategic partner conversations.
• Sales Enablement & Market Activation
• Develop high-impact sales narratives, pitch materials, competitive positioning, objection handling, and executive-level messaging.
• Partner with Sales leadership to improve how Archer communicates value across complex enterprise buying committees.
• Lead enablement for major product launches, strategic sales plays, and emerging market opportunities.
• Use win/loss insights, competitive intelligence, customer feedback, and field input to continuously strengthen Archer’s positioning and sales effectiveness.
• Support strategic customer and prospect conversations when senior product marketing expertise can help advance an opportunity.
• Analyst & Industry Engagement
• Play a senior role in analyst relations activities with Gartner, Forrester, IDC, and other influential industry organizations.
• Help prepare Archer executives for analyst briefings and ensure Archer’s strategy and differentiation are communicated clearly and consistently.
• Represent Archer at conferences, webinars, customer events, partner programs, and industry forums.
• Develop and communicate market points of view that strengthen Archer’s position as a thought leader in GRC and AI-enabled risk management.
• Product Marketing Leadership
• Serve as a senior contributor and trusted advisor within the Product Marketing team.
• Partner with the VP of Product Marketing on major strategic initiatives and help translate overall PMM direction into execution across the organization.
• Mentor and coach other product marketers, sharing best practices in positioning, messaging, launches, competitive intelligence, and go-to-market strategy.
• Help improve repeatable PMM processes, frameworks, and standards while maintaining flexibility for different products and markets.
• Step into high-priority initiatives where experienced product marketing leadership is needed.

Requirements

• 12+ years of B2B product marketing experience, ideally within enterprise software, SaaS, cybersecurity, risk, compliance, or adjacent technology markets.
• Significant experience developing positioning, messaging, and go-to-market strategy for complex enterprise technology.
• A demonstrated ability to connect multiple products or capabilities into a compelling platform or portfolio narrative.
• Experience influencing how a company is positioned in the market, not simply communicating existing product messages.
• Strong executive presence and the ability to work credibly with senior Product, Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, and Partner leaders.
• Experience leading complex cross-functional launches and strategic go-to-market initiatives.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to make complex concepts clear, differentiated, and memorable.
• Deep understanding of enterprise buying committees and the ability to develop messaging for executive and practitioner audiences.
• Strong strategic judgment combined with a willingness to remain hands-on with messaging, content, enablement, and execution.
• The ability to operate independently, prioritize effectively, and lead through influence across a matrixed organization.
• Experience in GRC, cybersecurity, enterprise risk, compliance, or adjacent markets.
• Experience working directly with Big 4 consulting firms or other major systems integrators and advisory organizations.
• Familiarity with regulations and frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001, SOX, GDPR, and DORA.
• Experience participating in analyst relations programs with Gartner, Forrester, or IDC.
• Experience marketing AI-powered, analytics-driven, or data-intensive enterprise software.
• Experience helping reposition an established enterprise software company around a broader platform or emerging technology narrative.

Benefits

• Pay Transparency Notice: We’re committed to fair and transparent pay practices. In line with state pay transparency laws, for positions in this location, we offer a base pay of $105,200.00 to $170,000.00 USD, plus benefits. Please note that the base pay shown is a guideline, and individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies, and work location. We also offer health plans, including flexible spending accounts, a 401(k) Plan with company match, a flexible time away plan and family leave programs. Compensation is based on the geographic location in which the role is located and is subject to change based on work location.
