Job description

• This position supports the ATI Forged Products business unit by ensuring all the required destructive testing to release parts for shipment. ATI Forged Products Cudahy Operations has a NADCAP MTL certified captive laboratory that performs a variety of tests for our product release. In addition to this, the position also manages the certification team and the on-site shipping department.

Responsibilities

• 1) Provide and maintain a safe work environment through continuous improvement, employee involvement, procedure development and problem resolution. Ensure safety is embedded in daily operating discipline, leadership behaviors, decision-making, and accountability at every level of the organization.
• 2) Plan, coordinate, and establish the proper human and capital resources required exceed the business needs of the physical test operations.
• 3) Deliver significant, measurable, and sustainable improvements in quality, productivity, cost, lead time, equipment reliability, inventory, and overall operating performance.
• 4) Manage the day-to-day activities of salary and hourly teams to deliver operational needs.
• Order release to manufacture, testing line up and product certification
• Working with production and the various Forged Products sites to prioritize the testing workflow
• Managing flow and output through test material breakdown and manufacture, specimen testing, and where needed subcontract testing
• Coordinating with the production department on prioritization and changes based on customer schedules
• Manage the team to ensure customer and subcontractor shipment schedule are met
• 6) Lead organizational change effectively, communicating a compelling vision, engaging employees, and maintaining momentum through periods of significant growth, transformation, or operational change.

Requirements

• Position requires a high school diploma
• 10+ years of manufacturing experience, with a focus on supply chain, operations or engineering roles.
• Managing a team of salary and hourly union staff preferred.
