Job description

• This role supports a team responsible for balancing general ledgers and processing ACH, wires, and share drafts. The position also handles automatic payment requests and updates while supporting team members by answering questions and ensuring efficient, accurate work.

Responsibilities

• •Process ACH transactions, including setup, modifications, and cancellations
• • Process and verify incoming and outgoing wire transfers, ensuring compliance with internal policies and procedures.
• • Manage share draft processing, including verification and dispute resolution.
• • Monitor transactions for potential fraud and compliance risks.
• • Collaborate with internal departments to resolve discrepancies and provide support for member inquiries.
• • Perform daily balancing of ACH, lockbox loan payment exceptions, and daily mobile deposits.
• • Complete forms related to ACH payments and transfers
• • Processing of automatic internal transfers
• • Support Treasury Management products for business client-initiated ACH and wire activity via online banking
• • Respond to team member calls, providing guidance and researching questions related to services and transactions
• • Balance and reconcile department-managed general ledger (GL) accounts
• • Ensure accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in all processing tasks
• • Support the preparation of the NCUA and OFR examinations by compiling and analyzing accounting-related data
• • And other department wide projects and tasks as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Two-Year College degree preferred
• Proficient in accounting systems, Microsoft Office and Excel
• Work Experience
• Previous experience with processing ACH, Wires and Share Drafts
• Financial Institution Experience: Background in a credit union or banking environment is preferred.
• • Strong organizational and analytical skills with attention to detail.
• • Ability to multitask and manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• • Able to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
