- The Medical Technologist will perform complex clinical laboratory testing, evaluate results, operate laboratory instrumentation, and perform required quality-control procedures.
Responsibilities
- • Perform qualitative and quantitative testing on blood, urine, spinal fluid, tissue, and other specimens.
- • Operate, calibrate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory analyzers and automated systems.
- • Perform quality-control testing, verify results, and identify abnormal or critical values.
- • Support blood bank, microbiology, specimen preservation, and other assigned laboratory functions.
Requirements
- • Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, microbiology, biology, chemistry, or a related field.
- • Current Medical Technologist or Clinical Laboratory Scientist certification through ASCP-BOR or AMT.
- • Knowledge of high-complexity clinical laboratory testing and quality-control procedures.
- • Ability to operate, calibrate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment.
