Overview
Monitors the status of shipments from pickup through delivery Enters shipment location, date and time into TMS Contacts carriers and drivers via phone, email or internet to determine driver location Escalates potential or existing service failures to Carrier Sales and Business Development
Responsibilities
- Monitors the status of shipments from pickup through delivery
- Enters shipment location, date and time into TMS
- Contacts carriers and drivers via phone, email or internet to determine driver location
- Escalates potential or existing service failures to Carrier Sales and Business Development
- Works closely with Account Managers, Account Executives and Carrier Sales Representatives to ensure service level expectations are achieved and clients are informed of shipment status
- Secures shipment and carrier documentation (bills of lading, PODs, etc.)
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong understanding of US Geography
- Excellent organizational and problem solving skills
- Capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel
- Works well in a team environment
- High school diploma or GED/Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Professional certification may be required in some areas.
