• Compliance is an intentional product surface at Rain. Every card we issue, every wallet we open, and every dollar that moves across our rails depends on controls that are correct, auditable, and fast enough not to be felt. We are hiring a Senior Product Manager to own that surface end to end.
• You will own the compliance product area across four connected domains: financial crime (KYC/KYB, sanctions, transaction monitoring), licensing and regulatory readiness, card network and issuing-bank obligations, and the compliance tooling our enterprise partners use to run their own programs. As Rain continues to expand its product suite, you will ensure our compliance product serves our customers’ needs with these new products as well.
• You will work daily with Compliance, Legal, Risk, Engineering, and Partnerships, and you will be in the room with bank partners, network representatives, and our largest customers' compliance teams. This is an individual contributor role with real scope to grow.

Responsibilities

• • Own the KYC and KYB onboarding experience for consumers and businesses in every market we operate in, tracking and optimizing metrics such as conversion, accuracy, and cost per verified user are all yours.
• • Build and tune sanctions screening, PEP and adverse media checks, and transaction monitoring, including blockchain analytics for wallet screening and source-of-funds signals.
• • Drive down false positives and analyst review time without weakening detection, and define the metrics that prove it.
• • Ship the case management, escalation, and SAR/STR workflows our compliance analysts live in every day.
• • Translate obligations - state money transmission licensing, EMI and MiCA in the EU, VASP regimes, stablecoin-issuer requirements, Travel Rule, and local equivalents - into requirements engineers can build against.
• • Partner with Legal and Compliance to make new-market launches a repeatable motion instead of a one-off scramble: jurisdictional configuration, disclosures, data residency, and reporting.
• • Run regulatory change management as a product process, so a rule change becomes a tracked roadmap item rather than a fire drill.
• • Own conformance with Visa and Mastercard rules across the programs we run and sponsor - BIN controls, MCC and merchant restrictions, program registration, and network reporting.
• • Build the controls, evidence, and attestation tooling our issuing banks and BIN sponsors require, and make audits boring.
• • Partner with Risk on disputes, chargebacks, fraud rules, and authorization-time controls where compliance and fraud overlap.
• • Turn internal compliance capability into products our partners can use: APIs, dashboards, configurable rule sets, audit logs, and reporting they can hand to their own regulators.
• • Serve as the product voice in partner compliance diligence, security reviews, and bank onboarding - and feed what you learn there back into the roadmap.
• • Define how much control a partner gets and where Rain holds the line, clearly enough that sales can sell it and engineers can build it.
• • Write the strategy and roadmap for compliance product, and defend the sequencing to the exec team.
• • Specify precisely. In this domain, an ambiguous requirement is a regulatory finding waiting to happen.
• • Instrument everything - pass rates, decision latency, alert volume, review throughput, escalation outcomes - and use it to make the case for what comes next.

Requirements

• You’ll likely succeed if you have
• • 8+ years in product management, including at least three years owning compliance, risk, identity, or payments products in a regulated environment.
• • Working fluency in AML/CFT: you can hold your own on KYC and KYB standards, sanctions screening logic, monitoring typologies, and SAR workflows without needing a translator.
• • Direct experience with card issuing, payments infrastructure, or banking-as-a-service - you understand what an issuing bank, a BIN sponsor, and a network each expect from a program.
• • A track record of shipping systems where correctness matters more than a fast demo, and the technical depth to design data models and APIs with engineers rather than around them.
• • Comfort with genuine ambiguity. The regulatory picture for stablecoins is still being written, and you will often decide with incomplete information.
• • Clear, precise writing. Most of your leverage here comes from documents other people can act on.
• • Experience with stablecoins, digital assets, or onchain settlement, including blockchain analytics tools.
• • Multi-jurisdiction launch experience across LATAM, APAC, EU, or EMEA.
• • Time spent inside a compliance, financial crime, or regulatory function — or a hands-on partnership with one.
• • Familiarity with SOC 2, PCI DSS, or similar control and audit frameworks.
