Job description
- Rate: $23.00-$24.00/hour
- Schedule: Monday through Friday 9am-5pm. This postion is on-site. This is a temporary role with a potential for temp to perm.
- The HR Coordinator provides administrative and operational support to the Human Resources team across a variety of functions, including recruitment, onboarding, employee records management, benefits administration, and training and development. This role serves as a key point of contact for employees and managers, ensuring a positive employee experience while maintaining accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance with company policies and employment regulations.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary customer service contact for the Human Resources and Training departments, responding to employee, manager, and applicant inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
- Assist with the administration of human resources programs, policies, and procedures for all employees.
- Maintain, organize, and manage personnel records and files in accordance with established guidelines and retention requirements.
- Processing pre-employment and onboarding documentation.
- Submitting IT access and equipment requests.
- Supporting the E-Verify process.
- Ensuring completed new hire documentation is accurately routed to appropriate departments.
- Process and maintain employee information within the Human Resources Information System (HRIS), including new hires, employee status changes, and updates to personal information.
- Coordinate training room scheduling and logistics for the Training Department.
- Manage training rosters and distribute training-related communications, including registration confirmations, reminders, and attendance follow-up notifications.
- Perform general administrative duties, including word processing, copying, filing, scanning, data entry, and document preparation.
- Attend and actively participate in supervision and staff meetings.
- Perform all duties in accordance with agency’s policies and procedures.
- Strictly follow all agency Performance Standards.
Requirements
- High School Diploma/GED
- High School Diploma or G.E.D, Associates or higher degree in related field preferred.
- 2 years’ administrative experience required. 1-2 years’ experience in human resources preferred.
- Must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and exercise discretion with sensitive information.
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently while also contributing effectively within a team environment.
