• Purpose of the role
• To execute trades and manage risk within a defined portfolio of financial instruments and staying informed about market trends and developments to make informed trading decisions.
• As a Treasury Analyst within Barclays' Prime Derivatives Services (PDS) Treasury team, you will support the funding and liquidity management of the European PDS business, helping to optimise funding requirements, execute treasury transactions, and enhance business performance. This is an excellent opportunity for an analytically minded individual to gain exposure to treasury management, derivatives markets, funding activities, and strategic business initiatives within a revenue-generating environment.
• Prime Derivatives Services (PDS) combines Futures and Options Execution, OTC Derivatives Clearing and FX Prime Brokerage to provide comprehensive execution and post-trade services to a broad range of institutional clients.
• As a Treasury Analyst, you will support the management and optimisation of funding across the European PDS business. You will work closely with other Front Office colleagues, Operations, Finance, Technology and Analytics teams to analyse funding requirements, identify opportunities for revenue enhancement and cost savings, and contribute to strategic projects that support the growth of the business.
• You will gain exposure to money market products, treasury processes, analytics development and regulatory considerations, whilst building a strong understanding of Prime Brokerage and Clearing businesses.

Responsibilities

• Execution of buy and sell orders or pricing of liquidity in various financial instruments while adhering to the bank's trading strategies and risk parameters.
• Monitoring and analysis of global financial markets, economic indicators, news, and geopolitical events to identify trading opportunities and assess market risks.
• Management and monitoring of the risk associated with the trading portfolio and ensuring compliance with regulatory and internal risk management guidelines.
• Collaboration with research analysts and other teams to gather insights and information for trading decisions.

• Experience using analytical and programming tools such as Excel/VBA, SQL, Python, and AI-driven solutions.
• Exposure to process improvement, automation, change management, or project delivery initiatives.
