Contractor - Business Systems Analyst (SharePoint) at NuScale Power in Corvallis, Oregon

Job description

• POSITION SUMMARY: The SharePoint Business Analyst leads and drives initiatives to implement new technologies that enhance NuScale Power’s competitiveness and efficiency and to support, develop and tailor NuScale Power’s existing software applications to meet the changing needs of the business.
• Provides direction to internal customers to uphold best practices relating to enterprise content management, document collaboration, data integrity, search and records management.
• Works closely with Information Technology (IT), Operations and other functional areas to support and develop Bridge application sites and maintain compliance with regulatory and quality requirements. This position will have a strong relationship with IT.

Responsibilities

• Develop software requirement specifications and other software configuration documents to support the definition, development and deployment of software applications.
• Lead cross-functional groups of SharePoint users, implementing standards, designing user interfaces, coordinating requests, and completing upgrades and technical fixes.
• Provide technical advice and mentoring regarding SharePoint on-line capabilities including workflows, document management, collaboration, security and search configuration.
• Work directly with NuScale Power personnel in addressing day-to-day support for Bridge.
• Partner with the NuScale training organization to prepare users with the skills and knowledge they need to productively use SharePoint.
• Remain current with existing and emerging technologies in the industry and be responsible for assessing these changes and making recommendations to NuScale management as to the impact and appropriate application for NuScale Power.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Education/Certification: Associate degree or 4 years’ experience in lieu of degree in a related field such as information technology, or computer science.
• Experience: 2 years’ minimum experience in a software development environment in high-growth technology companies. Additional required and desired experience includes:
• At least five years’ experience developing and supporting SharePoint on-line applications.
• Demonstrated proficiency with SharePoint on-line, Microsoft Office Products and workflow development tools.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
• Good interpersonal relationship building skills.
• Ability to elicit business needs through various methods such as interviews or the facilitation of requirement building workshops.
• Familiarity with web-based systems design and applications.
• Demonstrated experience with software development lifecycle approaches including Waterfall and Agile methodologies.
• Proven ability to develop and deliver end user training on new technology and business applications.
• Demonstrated ability to document and improve business processes.
• Passionate about technology; possess an internal drive to stay apprised of “leading edge” technologies for potential adoption by the organization.
• Good organizational skills and the ability to manage time and resources effectively.
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
• Industry Requirements: Eligible to work under Department of Energy 10 CFR Part 810.
