- Ivy Tech Evansville seeks a Part-time Lab Technician to support the Life Sciences department. This is an in person role based on the Evansville, IN campus.
Responsibilities
- Prepare labs as needed such as setting out equipment, models, and all necessary supplies.
- Prepare materials as needed for labs.
- Breakdown labs and perform necessary cleanup of materials.
- Work with science instructors to maintain levels of supplies and up-to-date inventory of supplies.
- Maintain MSDS data sheets and follow OSHA guidelines.
- Track usage of lab consumables.
- Unpack and check-in orders.
- Clean lab equipment and models.
- Assist lab manager or program chair with ordering.
- Make copies as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Must have a high school diploma or GED. Must be able to think critically, communicate, and work autonomously.
- Must have a safe environment mindset.
- Must be familiar with science labs
- Associate’s Degree in Science.
