Job description

• The Orthopaedic Center is looking for a highly motivated Medical Assistant Floater for the Guntersville, AL location. This opening is a full-time position averaging 40 hours per week. The MA will perform clinical and secretarial duties including assisting physicians with patient care and handling clerical and organizational tasks under the direction of the Clinical Coordinator. MA will float to different locations as needed. Must be able to communicate effectively with patients, TOC physicians and staff.

Requirements

• Education required: HS/GED
• License, Certification and/or Registration: ROT or CCMA certification required by first 90 days of employment
• Experience: Minimum one-year full-time clinical experience in healthcare preferred
• Ability to communicate effectively with patients, TOC physicians and staff
• Ability to work under pressure, multitask and meet deadlines
• Outstanding organizational, verbal and writing skills
• Independent, self-starting and highly motivated
• Strong patient care and interpersonal skills
• Proven positive, "teamwork" attitude in work history
