Events and Operations Coordinator (Seasonal/Temporary, Full-Time) at League One Volleyball (LOVB) in Austin, TX

Job description

• The Events and Operations Coordinator supports the successful planning and execution of LOVB Austin matches, events, and team operations. Working closely with the Senior Manager of Operations and Community, this role provides hands-on operational support for home matches and non-match events and helps ensure venues, equipment, and event materials are organized and ready for use.
• This position is also responsible for maintaining the organization and inventory of the LOVB Austin storage unit and serves as a secondary point of contact between LOVB Austin and venue personnel during events. The ideal candidate is highly organized, dependable, comfortable working in a fast-paced sports environment, and willing to take a hands-on approach to event setup, execution, and breakdown.

Responsibilities

• Match & Event Operations
• Assist with load-in, setup, and preparation for all LOVB Austin home matches.
• Oversee teardown and breakdown following all LOVB Austin home matches.
• Support the planning and execution of non-match LOVB Austin events, activations, and other team activities as needed.
• Assist with event-day operational needs to ensure events are executed efficiently and successfully.
• Serve as a secondary point of contact between LOVB Austin and venue personnel during matches and events.
• Respond to operational needs and troubleshoot issues as they arise during events.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Senior Manager of Operations and Community.
• Equipment, Storage & Inventory
• Manage the organization and day-to-day maintenance of the LOVB Austin storage unit.
• Maintain accurate inventory of equipment, supplies, signage, event materials, and other items stored within the unit.
• Ensure materials and equipment are organized, accessible, and prepared for upcoming matches and events.
• Assist with transporting, loading, unloading, and organizing event materials as needed.
• Identify inventory or equipment needs and communicate them to the Senior Manager of Operations and Community.

Requirements

• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, startup and professional sports environment.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage and maintain a large inventory of equipment and event materials.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Dependable and able to work independently while collaborating effectively with team members, venue personnel, vendors, and other stakeholders.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to adapt quickly and respond to changing event and operational needs.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule based on sports and entertainment needs, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Willingness to work onsite at matches, events, activations, storage facilities, and other locations as required.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree in Sports Management, Event Management, Business, Hospitality, or a related field preferred.
• Previous experience supporting events, sports operations, venue operations, or a related environment preferred.
• Experience with event setup and breakdown, equipment management, or inventory management preferred.
• Experience working in professional, collegiate, or other live sports and entertainment environments is a plus.

Benefits

• This is a seasonal, full-time position for the period of November 17, 2026 through April 17, 2027. Compensation is $4,000 per month, paid on a biweekly payroll schedule.
