Job description

• Under the direction of the Executive Director, Revenue Cycle, the Director of System Vendor Management is a leadership role focused on overseeing and optimizing a company's relationships and operations with its vendors and the patient liability process. This includes managing vendor performance and workflow, managing the patient liability issues and concerns, liability legal process and ensuring alignment with overall business goals. The role often involves strategic planning, data analysis, and driving process improvements to enhance vendor performance and value and supporting the vendor selection and contract negotiation process.

• Managing patient liability issues and concerns
• Managing liability legal process
• Ensuring alignment with overall business goals
• Strategic planning, data analysis, and driving process improvements
• Supporting vendor selection and contract negotiation process

Requirements

• Education required: Bachelor’s Degree. Advanced degree preferred. Comparable combinations of education and experience may be considered
• 3 to 5 years working experience as manager of healthcare financial operations. (i.e. Vendor operations, Patient liability, hospital based billing, insurance collections, or payer relations).
• Direct working knowledge of hospital Revenue Cycle operations, patient liability, and management.
• Ability to gather and apply regulatory requirements for collecting, coding, and insurance payors (i.e. Medicare, Alabama Medicaid, etc.).
• Extensive experience in policy development and process improvement initiatives.
• Manage multi-tasks in a high volume producing work environment.
• Understanding of IT workflow of EDSI files.
• Experience coordinating outsourced services of the patient accounting function.
• Strong leadership and management skills.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
• Day to day applications and proficiency in EXCEL and WORD
• Excellent communication skills, verbal and written
• Demonstrated organizational skills including ability to work in a fast paced environment
• Ability to utilize PowerPoint and ACCESS at a basic level
• Ability to review staff members work, audit results, and take corrective action as needed
• Experience in utilizing interoffice e-mails, report management, and database report writer (I.e., Crystal reports, Medefinance, EPSI, or Access)
• Experience in utilizing 10 – Key calculator
• Experience in vendor management, procurement, or a related field.
• Proven ability to develop and implement vendor strategies.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in data analysis and reporting.
• Knowledge of relevant regulations and compliance requirements.
• In essence, a Vendor Operations Director plays a critical role in ensuring that a company's vendor ecosystem is efficient, effective, and aligned with its strategic objectives including file management, working with IT departments,
• Extensive experience in policy development and process improvement initiatives
• Ability to mentor and develop staff
