Senior Construction Project Manager - Industrial and Interior Renovations at Turner & Townsend in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, United States

Job description

• Turner & Townsend is seeking a Senior Project Manager to serve as an owner’s representative supporting various clients on both ground-up industrial distribution facilities and complex interior renovations and implementations of material handling systems for the Greater Philadelphia market.
• In this leadership role, you will take full life cycle ownership of various commercial real estate projects from pre-construction and planning through final delivery. You will act as a strategic advisor to our clients, ensuring their facility investments align with broader business objectives and operational goals.
• You will play a lead role for the project management function, driving accountability, cost control, and quality from initiation to closeout.

Responsibilities

• Manage all areas of project management for multiple real estate projects. This includes planning, design, construction, occupancy, and closeout.
• Work directly with clients to prepare all elements of the project. This includes the scope of work, project delivery resource requirements, cost estimates & budget, work plan schedule & landmarks, quality control, and risk identification.
• Define the project delivery resources from pre-qualified lists or through the project qualification process. Conduct complex requests for proposals, complete bid evaluations, and recommend resources to clients.
• Facilitate the development of a charter and integrated timeline.
• Ensure all functions remain on schedule and issues get resolved or raised.
• Facilitate regular meetings to review project status for active and pending projects.
• Collaborate to develop solutions and guide the project team through implementation and completion.
• Apply advanced knowledge to seek and develop new, better methods for accomplishing both individual and department objectives.
• Showcase expertise in own job subject area and in-depth knowledge of other job fields within the organization function.
• Coach others to develop in-depth knowledge and expertise in most or all areas within the function.

Requirements

• Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future.
• Bachelor's Degree preferred with 8+ years of relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
• Prior experience working with commercial high-end interior projects, ground-up construction, industrial distribution center projects including new construction and renovations, commercial interior renovation projects is strongly desired.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint). Experience with MS Project or similar project management software.
• Proven track record of leading multiple projects in varying stages simultaneously and the ability to deliver under pressure in fast-paced environments is preferred.
• Interpersonal skills with an advanced inquisitive mentality.
• Strong organizational and management skills – the ability to work effectively and collaboratively with the broader team.
