Job description

• Born in 2017 from the kitchen of Danny Meyer’s Union Square Cafe in New York City, Daily Provisions is a growing collection of all-day neighborhood cafes with restaurant roots. Daily Provisions offers a familiar, yet elevated, menu of classic dishes, including its signature crullers, all-day breakfast sandwiches with a runny yolk, and freshly brewed coffee and teas. Throughout the afternoon and evening, the restaurant serves chef-driven salads, made-to-order sandwiches, seasonal sides, and comforting dinner dishes like its famous Roast Chicken. A beloved neighborhood institution among New Yorkers, Daily Provisions has expanded to multiple locations total across New York, Jersey City, Boston, and Washington, D.C.
• Baristas are responsible for the preparation of coffee beverages for the entire restaurant. The ideal candidate must thrive in a high volume environment, while working closely with their co-workers in a team oriented atmosphere.

Responsibilities

• Consistently support a culture of Enlightened Hospitality
• Possess a passion for coffee and ability to prepare classic espresso beverages (cappuccinos, macchiatos, cortados etc.), as well as a familiarity with current trends in the specialty coffee and tea industry
• Demonstrate an ability to dial in espresso and pull great shots consistently with the ability to create latte art
• Work with a sense of urgency and attention to detail
• Interact and communicate with all colleagues and guests to consistently support a culture of Enlightened Hospitality
• Perform additional responsibilities as needed and other duties as assigned to support team objectives and operational success

Requirements

• Experience working as a barista in a similar environment
• Curious Intelligence to continue learning in the position
