Job description

• The Inside Sales Manager is responsible for leading, developing, and executing inside sales strategies that drive revenue growth, customer retention, and profitability. This role oversees the daily activities of the inside sales team while partnering with outside sales, estimating, operations, and leadership to achieve company objectives.

Responsibilities

• Guide team members through complex sales challenges, unexpected obstacles, and competing priorities to ensure business objectives are achieved.
• Lead, coach, and develop a team of inside sales representatives through ongoing training and performance management.
• Establish performance expectations and hold team members accountable for sales goals, CRM compliance, and customer service standards.
• Develop and execute sales action plans aligned with company growth objectives.
• Review sales performance, forecasts, and pipeline activity to drive revenue growth.
• Recruit, develop, and retain top sales talent while fostering a collaborative team culture.
• Provide leadership and guidance on escalated customer and sales issues, empowering team members and internal partners to resolve challenges while maintaining accountability for effective communication and follow-up.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and pricing conditions.
• Partner with outside sales personnel to strengthen customer relationships and identify opportunities.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable regulations.

Requirements

• Required
• Minimum 5 years of experience managing a sales team of five or more representatives.
• Proven track record of achieving revenue and profitability targets.
• Experience using CRM platforms, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office products.
• Strong leadership, coaching, and performance management skills.
• Manufacturing, wholesale distribution, or glass and glazing industry experience preferred.
• Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong business insight and financial acumen related to pricing, margins, forecasting, and profitability.
• Ability to exercise sound judgment and make quality decisions.
