• Sentara is hiring Nurse Unit Coordinator for our Medical Specialties Unit at Sentara Norfolk General in Norfolk, VA!
• Sign on bonus up to $20,000 offered for qualified candidates!
• Shift: Full Time, Night Shift (7p-7a)
• We are the first in the Sentara System and Second in the State of Virginia to win the PRISM Award (Premiere Recognition in the Specialty of Med-Surg). Our unit is recognized for our collective achievements and contributions to the safe, high-quality care we deliver to our patients on a daily basis.
• Combined Our Team Members Have 20+ Years Certified as Medical Surgical Nurses. We are a 42-bed Medical Specialties Unit. Our diverse patient population includes but is not limited to CHF, Sickle Cell, Renal Failure, Vascular, Sepsis, COPD, Pneumonia, Osteomyelitis w/ Surgical Interventions, Wound Care and, an assortment of varying disease processes.
• We one main Nursing Station and 7 Substations. Within those Substations you can visualize your patient assignment and govern your own work area. Equipment utilized on unit has EPIC integration, thus decreasing your time inputting data. We live out our “no staff left behind” motto and teamwork model by staying in contact with each other through the use of walkie talkies, including the management team. Requirements

• BSN Degree REQUIRED
• Virginia RN License REQUIRED
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification required within 90-days of hire
• 18-months experience REQUIRED

• We provide market-competitive compensation packages, inclusive of base pay, incentives, and benefits. The base pay range for full-time employment is $47.42 - $68.63 hourly.
• Additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call pay, overtime, shift premiums, extra-shift incentives, or bonus opportunities. Compensation within the range may vary based on qualifications, experience, location, market conditions, and business needs.
